The Jerome L. Greene Sjögren’s Disease Center at Johns Hopkins is a leader in Sjögren’s disease research and care. For decades, our physicians and researchers have worked to deepen the understanding of this complex disease and improve outcomes for our patients. Our research has earned international recognition and continues to advance new ideas and discoveries in the field.

  • NOVARTIS THALASSA: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2-arm multicenter Phase III study to assess the efficacy and safety of ianalumab in participants with Sjogren’s disease with high symptom burden 

Current 

  • POETYK SjS-1: A Phase 3, Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Deucravacitinib in Adults with Active Sjogrens Syndrome 
  • NEPTUNUS: A randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, multicenter phase III study to assess the efficacy and safety of ianalumab in patients with active Sjögren’s syndrome 
  • ARGENX UNITY: A Phase 3 Randomized, Double-Blinded, Placebo-Controlled Multicenter Trial with Open-Label Extension to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of Efgartigimod PH20 Subcutaneous Administered by Prefilled Syringe in Adult Patients with Primary Sjögren’s Disease 

Past 

  • TWINSS: A 48-week, 6-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter trial to assess the safety and efficacy of multiple CFZ533 doses administered subcutaneously in two distinct populations of patients with Sjögren’s Syndrome  
  • NOVARTIS VAY736: Safety and Efficacy of VAY736 in Patients With Primary Sjogren’s Syndrome (pSS)
